Petersburg is a masterpiece of 20th century literature - Nabokov placed it in league with Ulysses, The Metamorphosis, and In Search of Lost Time. It was first serialized in 3 issues of the short-lived Sirin magazine from 1913-14. Both the magazine and book appearances are scarce, particularly in this condition.
