New Hampshire - in truly scarce dust jacket

*SOLD*

Robert Frost

London, 1924

A truly scarce piece in the Frost canon.

First English edition, one of 150 sets of Henry Holt sheets for export with cancel title-leaf. A real rarity in dust jacket. It's 35 times rarer than its American counterpart that had a first print run of 5350 copies. OCLC finds one other copy located in a German library.

Top edge stained brown, others untrimmed, in original dust jacket. Front board very slightly bowed, foot of spine and corners gently bumped, top edge of text block lightly soiled, overall just about near fine.

Jacket lightly soiled, spine panel faintly darkened with minor wear along fold lines, light creasing at spine ends, minor edge-wear. An attractive, near fine example of a very scarce jacket.

This collection is most famous for Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening, but I prefer Nothing Gold Can Stay. I’m far from a poetry expert but for me, it embodies making lemonade out of lemons and that change through loss often leads to a truly fulfilling life.
