Ex-Rev. Addie Wyatt - a significant figure in the union, civil, and women’s rights movements. One of Time Magazine’s Twelve Women of the Year in 1976.
This magazine features anti-Vietnam war speeches by Dr. King, Dr. Henry Steel Commager, Dr. John C. Bennett, and Rabbi Abraham Heschel - members of Clergy and Laymen Concerned about Vietnam. In late 1965, Dr. King joined this organization of multi-faith leaders to oppose the war, one of the largest moral and geopolitical disasters in American history. King bravely risked his hard-earned reputation to oppose American involvement in the war.
